Ousmane Dembele forced off as PSG fight back to beat Monaco
Ousmane Dembele lasted just 27 minutes of Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League knockout play-off first leg against Monaco before being replaced by Desire Doue, who scored twice as Luis Enrique's side came from behind to win 3-2 at the Stade Louis II. Monaco had taken an early lead through two Folarin Bolagun goals, and PSG also saw Vitinha miss a penalty.
Doue halved the deficit with a precise strike that flew across goal past Philipp Köhn; Achraf Hakimi levelled before Doue completed the comeback. Luis Enrique said Dembele took a knock in the first 15 minutes and then couldn't run, adding that 'we'll have to see if there's an injury.' He also praised Doue as 'sensational', highlighting the substitute's character and personality and his importance to a very young squad under fresh pressure.
The injury is another setback in a difficult campaign for Dembele, who has managed only seven Ligue 1 starts because of physical issues and recently urged the team to put the club first.
