Outfit repeater: Timothée Chalamet's 'Marty Supreme' Givenchy suits in five colors
Timothée Chalamet appears to be echoing the style of his "Marty Supreme" character on the red carpet, repeatedly wearing double-breasted suits in striking colors. He kicked off the film’s press tour in a screaming orange that nods to the ping-pong balls his character Marty Mauser plays with.
Chalamet enlisted Sarah Burton for custom Givenchy suits in different shades — always double-breasted with a peak lapel, matching double-pleated trousers and a white cotton shirt, per press releases from the brand. He turned up at the Oscar Nominee Luncheon in royal blue, wore a dark brown suit with an oyster-print tie to the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Jan.
3, and chose a pinstripe look at the Critics’ Choice Awards the next day. Later appearances included a burnt sienna suit in Paris on Feb. 3, a similar beige look back in California a few days later, a warm brown version without a tie at the Paris premiere on Feb.
