Overwatch tier list for Season 1 Conquest

The Reign of Talon chapter’s first update added five new heroes—the biggest single update since launch—and the tier list has been shaken up quite a bit, mainly because of a flying cat. As a Masters player, I rank which characters are strongest for the average player, but you still need to change heroes based on both your team’s composition and the enemy’s.

Simply stacking the highest-ranked picks without knowing how to use their abilities is a quick route to losing. On tanks, the newest arrival Domina is very strong in poke despite a bug fix, while Sigma remains the top pick for official tournaments. D.va, Zarya, and Ramattra continue to dominate the role, and Winston is a solid choice when the enemy struggles against dive.

In damage, newcomers Anran and Emre feel balanced, but Sojourn, Ashe, Cassidy, and Bastion are consistently impactful; Vendetta also remains a top pick, though she demands skill to avoid giving the enemy free kills.
