The Green Bay Packers have agreed to terms on a contract extension with head coach Matt LaFleur, sources told Cbssports' Jonathan Jones on Saturday.

ESPN reported the deal is multi-year and "not a prove-it deal but a real commitment" to LaFleur. He is 76-40-1 in Green Bay with six postseason appearances in seven years and a 3-6 overall record in the playoffs.

LaFleur said after the loss to the Chicago Bears that he wanted to remain with the Packers: "Of course [I want to return]. This is one of one," adding that he and his family love the place. Quarterback Jordan Love also voiced support, saying, "Yeah, I definitely think Matt should be the head coach. I've got a lot of love for Matt." LaFleur is the Packers' fourth-winningest coach with 76 victories, and his 76 regular-season wins are tied for the second-most by a coach in his first seven seasons, along with Paul Brown.
