Page Six editors share the romance books they’re reading this Valentine’s Day
Love is in the air, and it’s the perfect time to relax with a box of chocolates and a good romance book. As Valentine’s Day approaches, editors are sharing favorite love stories spanning from the 1800s to modern day. Many readers are smitten with the "Heated Rivalry" series; one editor singled out Game Changer by Rachel Reid as a personal favorite, saying it focuses on Scott Hunter’s relationship with smoothie barista Kip and is “sweet, sexy and sets the foundation for the rest of the series,” with Shane and Ilya making appearances as well.
Classics also made the list. Wuthering Heights was described as not really a romance—featuring a toxic relationship, cycles of abuse, inheritance laws and even a ghost—while Pride and Prejudice was recommended for its iconic opening line. Far From the Madding Crowd earned praise as a rare romance classic that follows Bathsheba Everdene and the slow burn of courtships with three different suitors.
