Kotaku reports Palworld developer Pocketpair is asking job applicants to submit screenshots of their Steam playtime and is screening out candidates who lack a Steam history, CEO Takuro Mizobe wrote on X (via Automaton).

Mizobe said applicants must explain the game mechanics of the titles that rank high in their Steam playtime, why those mechanics were adopted, and what makes each title stand out compared with others in the same genre. “Pocketpair is recruiting game creators who are true Steam gamers!” he wrote.

Separately, an announcement on the server status account for an outage starting January 27 says Monster Hunter Wilds’ next big performance patch arrives next week and “will include optimization improvements for Steam-specific processes and options to reduce processing load.” “It will also include a review of presets,” the account added, and another update is due on February 18; fans are hoping the fixes help PC performance, especially after one modder apparently discovered a DLC check bug that was killing framerates.
