The parents of 19-year-old Brianna Marie Aguilera have filed a $1 million wrongful-death lawsuit in Travis County, Texas, against Austin Blacks Rugby Club and the University of Texas Latin Economics and Business Association, according to People. Aguilera was found dead at a student apartment complex in Austin in the early morning of Nov.

29, 2025, hours after attending a tailgate hosted by the UT Latin Economics and Business Association at the Austin Blacks Rugby Club facility. Austin police said in a Dec. 4 press conference that detectives ruled her death a suicide, citing a deleted digital suicide note dated Nov.

25 and saying witness, video and digital evidence did not indicate criminal activity. The lawsuit alleges Aguilera was served alcohol while underage, became grossly intoxicated, stumbled and lost her phone before entering nearby woods; it also notes differing accounts of what time she arrived at the tailgate.
