Pete Davidson says daughter Scottie Rose is bringing joy and family meaning

Nbc reports that Pete Davidson told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on January 26 that he is loving life as a dad after welcoming a baby girl with his girlfriend, model Elsie Hewitt.

The baby, born December 12, is named Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson — her first name echoing Davidson's late father Scott and her middle name shared with her mother. The couple announced her birth on Hewitt's Instagram on December 18; Hewitt wrote, "My best work yet. I am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief," and included a statement from Davidson: "Wu-Tang forever." On Fallon, Davidson said, "All the cliches are true," adding, "It's so much fun. It's nuts...It's fun to see Elsie be a great mom," and that at nearly two months they had a moment of realizing "this is a thing now. Now it's real."

Davidson said he has received "tons" of parenting advice, including from Eddie Murphy, who he quoted as saying, "The best advice is no advice. You can't tell another man how to raise his child." He also described already owning a minivan he has outfitted as a "dad van" with a VHS player, changing table, small fridge and a Baby Brezza, and said he collects sealed VHS tapes bought during COVID, which he keeps as a reminder not to do drugs.
