Pete Davidson returned to Saturday Night Live to portray President Donald Trump’s border czar Tom Homan in an “ICE Meeting Cold Open,” a parody framed around the chaotic federal response to the recent Minneapolis murders of Renée Good and Alex Pretti, MovieWeb reported. The sketch opened with a crawl explaining Homan had been sent to Minneapolis to “take control” and showed Davidson — bald and bespectacled — asking ICE commanders when the correct time would be to use force.

After one agent said “Right away” and another suggested “preemptively,” Davidson’s Homan called it “kind of a trick question” and asked what the job was about, prompting a confused reply: “This could be wrong, but, Don Lemon?” SNL then skewered Greg Bovino, who preceded Homan on the Minnesota detail, with Davidson mocking Bovino’s “Third Reich-esque” uniform.

Davidson’s Homan insisted Bovino wasn’t dismissed for doing a bad job, lying about a shooting, or “even, uh, dress[ing] like a Nazi,” but because “he was filmed doing those things, and the president [doesn’t] like that...” The cold open also referenced an alleged September 2024 video in which Homan was caught taking $50,000 in cash from undercover FBI agents posing as business executives amid an investigation into whether he accepted bribes for contracts tied to Trump’s 2024 campaign; MovieWeb noted the Department of Justice later dropped the case for insufficient evidence.
