During the 2026 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony on February 6, spectators will see performances from several Italian celebrities, including actor and producer Pierfrancesco Favino. He is set to appear at Milan’s San Siro Stadium alongside violinist Giovanni Zanon as part of a program built around the theme of "armonia." In a promotional video Favino called the event "extraordinary," saying, "San Siro Stadium will light up to bring the Italian Olympic Games to life.

We will tell a story of armonia and enchant the world with an extraordinary event that will go down in history." Born in Rome in 1969, Favino is best known in Italy, where he has won three David di Donatello awards, but he has also appeared in a number of English‑language films.

His international credits include Excellent Cadavers (1999), Night At The Museum (2006), The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008), Angels & Demons (2009), Miracle at St. Anna (2008), World War Z (2013), Rush (2013), My Cousin Rachel (2017) and Maria (2024).
