People reports that Piers Morgan revealed in a Jan. 18 Instagram post that he broke his hip after he "tripped on a small step" inside a London hotel restaurant.

The 60-year-old broadcaster wrote alongside a hospital-bed selfie that he "fractured neck of femur" and "so badly I needed a new hip," adding that he was "recovering in hospital," would need "crutches for 6 weeks" and face "no long-haul flying for 12 weeks." In the photograph he appeared connected to an IV and oxygen and gave a thumbs up; he also shared a post-fall X-ray with a red circle over the injury and wrote, "I blame Donald Trump."

Morgan currently hosts Piers Morgan Uncensored on YouTube and, per the report, most recently had words with Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters during the Friday, Jan. 16 episode of his program. Beyond the captioned recovery notes, no further medical timeline was provided in the post.
