Nytimes reports that ‘Pillion,’ directed by Harry Lighton and based on the 2020 novel "Box Hill" by Adam Mars-Jones, stars Alexander Skarsgard and Harry Melling and runs 1 hour 47 minutes. The film is described as essentially an opposites-attract romantic comedy with a B.D.S.M.

overlay. It follows Colin, a bashful parking enforcement officer, who is captivated by Ray, a hunky biker, after an encounter in a back alley. Colin settles into Ray's flat and begins an education in obedience that includes a list of chores, a chain and padlock around his neck and another accessory lodged further south; his consent is rarely in doubt and he even whispers a polite, if hoarse, "Thank you" after a choking.

Lighton, making his feature debut, stages sequences that deepen the characters, from an excruciating dinner with Colin's parents to a lakeside picnic with Ray's biker gang.
