The Pima County Sheriff’s Office has officially cleared the Guthrie family—including "all siblings and spouses"—as possible suspects in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the agency said in a statement. The announcement came as the search for Savannah Guthrie’s mother entered its third week and described the family as "victims plain and simple." Former CIA member and FBI special agent Tracy Walder said authorities have been able to alibi family members by accounting for their whereabouts on the night in question, using cell phone data, license plate scanners and camera captures.

Retired FBI agent Jason Pack added investigators have relied on alibis, phone records, financials and digital forensics, and suggested the statement also served to protect a grieving family. Those cleared include Savannah Guthrie, her brother Camron, sister Annie, Savannah’s spouse Michael Feldman, and Annie’s husband Tommaso Cioni—who was the last person to see Nancy and had become a target of online speculation.
