Playable mahjong mod brings mazte to Morrowind

A mod for The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind adds playable mahjong under the setting-appropriate name mazte. Created by modder CarlZee, Mazte – Playable Mahjong Card Game lets you play in inns across Vvardenfell and, if you have Tamriel Rebuilt installed, beyond.

To start a game, interact with a Mazte box set atop a table in the affected inns: walk up, hit go, choose up to three opponents and how much to bet, and the box will splay tiles and coins to arrange the round. It’s still Morrowind, so animations are modest, but the feature is pulled off cleanly.

The mod also includes a rulebook for players who haven’t learned mahjong, letting newcomers pick up the rules as they play.
