Playmates teases life-size Samantha from Dungeon Crawler Carl at Toy Fair

Playmates Toys is bringing Matt Dinniman’s Dungeon Crawler Carl into the collectible world, adapting the post-apocalyptic setting—where survivors like Carl and his ex-girlfriend’s cat Princess Donut compete in the alien-run Dungeon Crawler World—into several toy lines.

The company plans to debut figures at San Diego Comic-Con in July, with wider availability at specialty retailers such as Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and Hot Topic. The initial action figure line will include three six-inch figures with swappable heads, interchangeable hands and character-specific accessories: Carl with Princess Donut, the frenemy Prepotente, and Mordecai in his incubus form, chosen as the first variant.

Playmates emphasized that the pieces shown at Toy Fair were prototypes and will be fully articulated.
