'Pressure' Trailer: Brendan Fraser Takes on D-Day in Historical Thriller
Focus Features has released the first trailer for Pressure, a historical thriller that stars Brendan Fraser as General Dwight D. Eisenhower and dramatizes the 72 hours leading up to D-Day. The film is set to open on May 29, 2026. Pressure follows Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg (Andrew Scott) as they confront an impossible choice: launch the largest and most dangerous seaborne invasion in history or risk losing the war.
Anthony Maras directed the film from a script he co-wrote with David Haig. The cast also includes Kerry Condon, Chris Messina, Damian Lewis, Henry Ashton, Con O'Neill, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Toby Williams, Max Croes and Roseanna Brown. Producers on the project are Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Cass Marks and Lucas Webb.
Fraser underwent a marked transformation for the role, following his Oscar-winning performance in Darren Aronofsky's The Whale and varied turns such as Robotman on Doom Patrol and the recent Rental Family; he also has a Mummy sequel in the works.
