Prey tops Tubi free-streaming chart after acclaimed 94% Rotten Tomatoes debut

According to Movieweb, Prey is now leading the free streaming chart on Tubi.

The Dan Trachtenberg-directed Predator prequel stars Amber Midthunder as Naru, a young woman from the Comanche Nation who must fight for survival when a spaceship crash‑lands and unleashes a deadly alien. The film was released straight to Hulu/Disney+, registered the biggest opening viewership of any Disney original movie, and scored 94% with critics on Rotten Tomatoes (the audience score sits at 74%).

Prey later received a limited theatrical run as a double bill with Predator: Badlands in November 2025. Predator: Badlands then had a full theatrical release and took $184 million at the worldwide box office, becoming the highest grossing movie of the franchise.

The future of the Predator series has not been announced; it is believed Trachtenberg is working on another entry, and upcoming projects are expected to include a Prey sequel and follow‑ups after Badlands. Prey is currently available to stream for free on Tubi, while Predator: Badlands can be rented or purchased and is holding high chart positions on the Apple Store and Amazon Store.
