Chris Pratt has faced a rocky start to the year after the sci-fi movie Mercy underperformed at the box office. He first became a star in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy films and cemented his status as a leading man in the Jurassic World trilogy with Bryce Dallas Howard, while his long run on Parks and Recreation showcased his comedic timing.

Pratt has also taken on more serious work, notably headlining The Terminal List, based on the novels of Jack Carr. The original season’s success led to a spin-off, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, which focused on Taylor Kitsch’s Ben Edwards; Kitsch’s supporting turn in the flagship series made him a natural choice to lead the offshoot.

Dark Wolf, released August 27, 2025, remains in the top 10 on Prime Video in several countries months after it left the air, while the original series is not charting at the moment but could see renewed interest as Season 2 news surfaces.
