Prime Video debuts teaser for pirate thriller The Bluff

Movieweb reports that Prime Video has released the first teaser footage for The Bluff, an action thriller about pirates starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Karl Urban.

Directed by Frank E. Flowers and written by Flowers and Joe Ballarini, the film casts Chopra Jonas as Ercell “Bloody Mary” Bodden and Urban as Captain Connor, with Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green and Temuera Morrison among the supporting cast. Producers include Joe and Anthony Russo, and the film is set against the Cayman Brac’s Skull Cave and towering bluffs; runtime is listed as 101 minutes and the film is due on Prime Video on February 25, 2026.

The synopsis says Ercell had built a new life in the Cayman Islands with her husband T.H. and their son Isaac until her former captain returns seeking revenge, forcing her back into a fight to protect her family. Priyanka Chopra Jonas said she was struck by the reality of female piracy—"It was scary. It was bloody. It was brutal." Karl Urban described Captain Connor as a former East India Trading Company man who became an outlaw. A full trailer is due this Wednesday.
