Prime Video Renews Dark Spy Thriller The Assassin for Season 2
Prime Video has picked up a second season of the six-part British thriller The Assassin, which starred Keeley Hawes opposite Freddie Highmore. Critics gave the first season a mostly positive response with a 74% score on Rotten Tomatoes, while audience ratings lagged at 43%, even as the show rose to No.

Her violent past soon caught up with them, sending the pair on the run and drawing in Edward’s fiancée Kayla, played by Shalom Brune-Franklin.
Development on Season 2 began in November, and the streamer has confirmed the return of Hawes, Highmore, Brune-Franklin and Devon Terrell, with creators and writers Harry and Jack Williams back in charge. The writers already have a story planned for the new run.
