Projection model backs Under as Hornets host Wizards in rescheduled game
Cbssports reports the Charlotte Hornets will host the Washington Wizards at the Spectrum Center at noon ET on Saturday in a game that was moved earlier because of an incoming winter storm. Charlotte is 17-28 and 12th in the Eastern Conference and has won three of its past five; Washington is 10-33, last in the East, and has lost eight straight.
Bookmakers list Charlotte as a 10.5-point favorite with a 233.5-point over/under and a money line of Hornets -535, Wizards +397. The SportsLine Projection Model simulated the matchup 10,000 times and favored the Under on the 233.5 total, projecting 233 combined points and noting Charlotte has gone Under 27-18 this season.
The model, which the outlet says has returned more than $10,000 in betting profit for $100 players on its top-rated NBA picks over the past eight-plus seasons and is 35-15 on top-rated spread picks entering Week 14, also indicated one side of the spread hits well over 60% of the time. The report directs readers to SportsLine for the model's full picks and further betting advice.
