Director says Queen’s Blood will be expanded in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3
Director Naoki Hamaguchi told Polygon at Nintendo's New York City store that Queen’s Blood will return in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 and be "enhanced."
Hamaguchi said he wants to expand Queen’s Blood and give a "more powered-up version" in the third installment; the minigame is described as a fan-favorite in which players collect cards and build decks for tactical-grid battles. He also reaffirmed that minigames will remain a major focus and said the team intends to treat the original game's snowboarding minigame as more than a simple diversion, incorporating it into the story and its theming.
On development, Hamaguchi said the project is "coming along very smoothly," with a set schedule and milestones being met, and that the game is technically playable but still being polished. He noted this progress despite Rebirth having launched on PlayStation 5 two years ago. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is now available on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X, and a port of Rebirth is in development for those platforms.
