Rachel Zegler publicly supported her ex-boyfriend Josh Andrés Rivera after his casting in the upcoming Broadway revival of Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show was announced on Jan. 29.

The show’s official Instagram post read, "Let’s see what he’s made of. Josh Rivera (Rocky) joins the cast of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW on Broadway. Previews begin March 26, only at Studio 54." Zegler commented on the post, "LOVE TO SEE IT."

The Rocky Horror Show marks Rivera’s Broadway debut alongside Juliette Lewis, Harvey Guillén and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez. The production is directed by Tony Award–winner Sam Pinkleton.

Rivera, 30, and Zegler, 24, dated between 2021 and late 2024; they met on the set of 2021’s West Side Story, in which they played Chino and Maria. They later shared the screen in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Rivera previously told PEOPLE, “We have debriefs at the end of the day and we talk about it... I think we were able to communicate when one of us was down. It was nice. We were good support for one another.”

Previews for the Rocky Horror revival begin March 26, ahead of an April 23 opening at Studio 54, and the limited engagement runs through June 21.
