Pagesix reports that Ray J (William Raymond Norwood Jr.), 45, said in a social-media video Tuesday night that "2027 is definitely a wrap for me" and that "that's what they say," predicting he will be dead next year.

In another video shared Sunday, the singer said he "almost died" and claimed "my heart is only beating like 25 percent." He also said, "My babymama gonna be straight, my kids gonna be straight," and thanked his sister Brandy, saying she "paid my bills for me for the rest of the year," while adding that his parents were taking him for a medical checkup the next day. A source told TMZ on Jan. 7 that after experiencing "heart pains" he was admitted to the hospital for a severe case of pneumonia, where doctors ordered an echocardiogram and X-rays, and an earlier report said he was hospitalized in Miami in October 2021 for the same illness.

His recent statements come amid a turbulent period that included his public accusations against Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner, subsequent defamation suits and a countersuit, an arrest in December after an alleged incident involving his estranged wife Princess Love, and her filing for divorce for a fourth time in 2024. A representative did not immediately respond to the outlet's request for comment, and beyond his social-media updates the singer's medical prognosis remains publicly unconfirmed.
