Razer unveils Project Madison concept chair with haptics, THX audio, and RGB
Polygon reports Razer unveiled its concept gaming chair, Project Madison, at CES 2026.
The chair is packed with built-in speakers, reactive RGB lighting, and haptics and is designed to work with Razer Chroma and Sensa HD for haptics control. Razer says Project Madison will connect wirelessly to a PC and also includes traditional chair features such as a 152-degree recline, adjustable lumbar support, and 4D armrests (up/down, in/out, side to side, and forward/backward). In a demo the reviewer said the Sensa HD haptics were noticeable and enjoyable, with partnered games receiving programmed effects (the Marvel Rivals demo limited feedback to firing, not being hit) while other titles would use audio-to-haptics conversion; the THX wireless speakers in the seat delivered strong audio and can be paired for 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound, while the integrated RGB lighting was described as potentially distracting when seated.
There is currently no release date, price point, or official name announced for Project Madison; the reviewer said they would consider replacing their current desk chair if the product ships and matches the demo, but would not use the RGB lighting.
