The Guardian’s long-running readers’ replies series this week features a question from HH of Suffolk, sent by email, asking how to accept that what feels like overwhelming love is unrequited and how to get over it.

The series invites readers to answer other readers’ questions on subjects ranging from trivial flights of fancy to profound scientific and philosophical concepts. This week’s replies also include a separate question about whether speed cameras should be hidden.

Readers are invited to post answers (and new questions) below or to send them to nq@theguardian.com. A selection of responses will be published next Sunday.
