Movieweb reports that Ready or Not 2: Here I Come has been given an R rating by the MPA; Bloody Disgusting said the rating cites "strong bloody violence, gore, pervasive language, and brief drug use."

The sequel returns Samara Weaving as Grace MacCaulley and Kathryn Newton as her sister Faith and, according to the official synopsis, picks up just hours after the events of the 2019 film as four rival families hunt Grace for the High Seat of the Council. Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett reteam with writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy; the supporting cast includes Shawn Hatosy, Kevin Durand, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Néstor Carbonell, Elijah Wood, Olivia Cheng, and David Cronenberg, with producers Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Bradley J. Fischer.

The article says the film will premiere in theaters on March 27 and will play an early preview at the 2026 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival a few days before the theatrical release, while production details also list an April 10, 2026 release date. The 2019 original was likewise rated R for "violence, bloody images, language throughout, and some drug use," and co-star Shawn Hatosy told Deadline months ago, "There is no ceiling to how gory it can get with these guys."
