Reneille-Gian Paneda Velez, a Seattle-based wedding planner, and Brian Michael Teodoro were married on Jan. 3 at the Four Seasons Hotel Seattle before 123 guests.

The couple met on Bumble in August 2020 and had a first date at The Rock Wood Fired Pizza in Renton, which is now closed. Ms. Velez, 35, owns Gian Events and works as a global channel sales manager at Google; Mr. Teodoro, 35, is a security analyst at Microsoft who studied at the University of Washington and Seattle University. After he briefly ghosted her in late 2020 and later apologized, she gave him a second chance; they moved to San Jose in July 2023 and he proposed on Sept. 7, 2024, under the Eiffel Tower.

The ceremony included Filipino unity rituals — the veil, cord (yugal) and coin (arras) — a traditional money dance, and personal tributes to Ms. Velez's late father, whose photo was tied to her bouquet and whose seat was marked with a photo and a Corona beer. Kimball Gainor, a friend, officiated. The couple live in San Jose with their pug, Frank, and Ms. Velez, who has planned hundreds of weddings, planned their celebration to reflect their past and mark a new beginning.
