Polygon reports the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 3.0 update adds a Reset Service run by Resetti that can drastically reduce the time players spend remodeling their island.

As far as our team can tell, the only prerequisite for unlocking Resetti's Reset Service is downloading the New Horizons 3.0 update; after the update Resetti will be wandering the player's island, introduce himself and his service, and it becomes usable. To call the service players must speak to Isabelle at Resident Services; the first use is free, and subsequent calls cost 60,000 bells each, which allows unlimited use on that island for a full day.

Once contacted, Resetti offers three reset options: the entire island, just the beach, or a player-selected area. The custom area measures 10x10 squares and cannot be resized, and players receive a transceiver to summon Resetti after choosing placement. Everything reset is sent to player storage except flowers (which can be destroyed instead); custom paths are optional. Resetti will not reset trees, bushes, vegetables, weeds, or items washed up on the beach (shells, star fragments, recipes, etc.), and he will not perform resets during island events like festivals.
