Resident Evil Requiem amiibo makes Leon look unflattering
You can point to sculptures like David or the work of Rodin as examples of human artistry, but those pieces aren’t mass produced to be stuck on a Nintendo system to unlock cosmetics. The Leon Kennedy Resident Evil Requiem amiibo doesn’t have those luxuries and nonetheless accomplishes something remarkable: it somehow finally makes the zombie-shooting heartthrob ugly.
Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy join the amiibo family in summer 2026. Amiibo will be sold separately. Both figures look like cheap wedding cake toppers. Amiibos typically feature more stylized characters, so they don’t often have to be very detailed, but Resident Evil Requiem is a photorealistic game that would lend itself to a more detailed statue.
These figures’ faces are so generic-looking that if it weren’t for Leon’s distinctive swooping hair, he’d be hard to identify; where is his old man scruff? I’ve looked at his face extensively for decades.
