Gamesradar reports Resident Evil Requiem will include a Standard (Classic) difficulty that restricts saving: autosaves are "limited" during Grace's sections, and otherwise players must locate ink ribbons to save.

The showcase confirmed multiple difficulty options, including a Casual mode with aim assist and a Standard (Modern) setting described as in line with recent Resident Evil titles. Players can also choose first- or third-person per character, and footage suggests Capcom is leaning toward first-person for Grace's horror-focused sections and third-person for Leon's action-oriented segments.

Capcom has not detailed any other differences between the difficulty options and did not show a hard mode; one report suggested a hard setting might be an unlockable feature, but the developers have not confirmed that. The showcase mostly recapped previously revealed information while touching on merch and brand collaborations, with the save and camera details among the few new gameplay notes.
