Teaser positions Revolver Lily as a vintage John Wick–style rescue thriller

Movieweb reports that the new teaser for Revolver Lily presents the film as a stylish action thriller blending the elite-assassin energy of John Wick with the rescue-mission premise of Taken, directed by Isao Yukisada and led by Ayase Haruka, who was nominated for Best Actress at the 2024 Japanese Academy Awards.

Based on the novel by Kyo Nagaura, the film follows Yuri, a retired assassin who now runs an underground brothel and is drawn back into violence to protect the son of a deceased colleague from a military manhunt. The cast also includes Hasegawa Hiroki, Hamura Jinsei, Shishido Kavaka, Furukawa Kotone, Shimizu Hiroya, Jesse Sato Jiro, Fukikoshi Mitsuru, Uchida Asahi, Itao Itsuji, Hashizume Isao, Ishibashi Renji, Abe Sadawo, Nomura Mansai, and Toyokawa Etsushi.

Revolver Lily debuted in 2023 and will land on Digital streaming on January 27, 2026, courtesy of Well Go USA Entertainment.
