Reynolds' rep says he backed Blake Lively after unsealed texts about Justin Baldoni

Pagesix reports Ryan Reynolds isn’t apologizing for unsealed texts that criticized director Justin Baldoni, and his representative defended him, saying Reynolds was supporting his wife, Blake Lively: “Yes, Ryan got involved — what husband wouldn't support his wife and the mother of his children?”

The rep told Puck News that Reynolds was defending Lively and “if anything, feels like he wasn’t angry enough,” adding, “He saw his wife fighting daily to stand up against sexual harassment in a private and respectful way, only to face retaliation for doing so.” The unsealed messages include exchanges with his talent agent, Warren Zavala, in August 2024 that reference Johnny Depp’s defamation case and reportedly label Baldoni with terms such as a “predatory fraudster” and a “human rounding error,” while Zavala allegedly wrote, “I hope this fraud s--t weasel is exposed,” according to documents obtained by TMZ.

Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us; Baldoni has denied the claims. Photos obtained by the outlet showed Baldoni celebrating his birthday surfing in Costa Rica on Sunday with his wife, Emily, and their two children, and the court battle between Lively and Baldoni continues.
