Movieweb reports Rhea Seehorn, speaking at the Golden Globe Awards where she won Best Actress – Television Series Drama, said the Apple TV series Pluribus will return "as fast as we can."

Created by Vince Gilligan, the sci‑fi drama debuted on Apple TV at the tail end of last year and follows Seehorn's Carol Sturka, who is immune to an extraterrestrial shared mind. Seehorn told Deadline that "[Gilligan] wants us to go as soon as possible," that he is "not playing any kind of game to make people wait," and that "he wants to craft the show with all the care for his fans and the people following this story that he can. So we'll get back as fast as we can." She also said she avoids reading fan theories and described one journalist's view that the show can be read as a metaphor for grief and depression.

Gilligan told Entertainment Weekly that "We're working on it. It takes us a while. I would love to go faster if I could," and that the team prefers to "be in our bunker creating this thing and not pay too much attention to reactions." Season 2 is expected to pick up after Carol's nuclear bomb threat; beyond Seehorn's assurance and Gilligan's comment that the work "takes us a while," exact timing for the next episodes has not been provided in the report.
