Riot Women sneak peek spotlights Holly's studio meltdown
A new sneak peek of Riot Women sets the scene for its Season 1 finale: the band is in the studio when bass player Holly (Tamsin Greig) freezes after spotting someone from her past. The familiar face turns out to be the session producer, and Holly's shaking hands and stumbling words culminate in a full-on meltdown as she prepares to record.
Set in Hebden Bridge, the series follows five women who form a makeshift punk band to enter a local talent contest. As they juggle jobs, grown children, ageing parents, ex-husbands and relationships, writing their first song exposes long-buried secrets and sparks changes that threaten to pull the group apart.
The first season has showcased Joanna Scanlan, Rosalie Craig, Tamsin Greig, Lorraine Ashbourne and Amelia Bullmore, with supporting turns from Claire Skinner, Sue Johnston, Peter Davison and Anne Reid.
