Rob McElhenney net worth estimated at $50m as Wrexham co-owner
According to Goal, Rob McElhenney, the American actor and co-owner of Wrexham AFC, has a reported net worth of about $50 million.
McElhenney co-created and stars in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which had run for 16 seasons as of 2023 and whose 16th season premiered on 7 June 2023; the series was renewed in December 2020 for four more seasons, extending it to 18. In 2020 the Wrexham Supporters Trust announced a business partnership between McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds and two months later the takeover was confirmed; the club has since secured promotion to League Two after 15 years. He is also a co-founder of entertainment‑tech firm Adim, acquired a 24% stake in Alpine Racing in 2023, and had more than 3 million followers across Instagram (1.6m), Twitter (over 1.1m) and TikTok (over 1.2m) as of July 3, 2023.
The report says the $50m estimate should be treated with a pinch of salt and that his earnings vary by project: he reportedly earned $70,000 per episode in the first season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and is said to earn considerably more now; specific current earnings are not provided.
