Robert Irwin says he was glad to leave Los Angeles after Dancing with the Stars win
People reports 22-year-old conservationist Robert Irwin said he was happy to leave Los Angeles after winning season 34 of Dancing with the Stars.
Irwin told The West Australian, “Being in L.A. for the last three months has been wonderful, but I am not a city kid. I live out in the bush,” and said it was good to return to greener, more rugged terrain. He is currently in South Africa filming a new season of I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! and told The West Australian, “I couldn’t wait to get here, actually.” Irwin and partner Witney Carson were awarded the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy during the season 34 finale in November, a win that came almost 10 years after his sister Bindi claimed the title.
Irwin has co-hosted I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! since 2023 alongside Julia Morris, and the latest season is airing on Network 10 in Australia; he teased in a Jan. 11 Instagram post that “we are changing things, we're upping the ante.” He has said Australia reminds him of his late father, Steve Irwin, telling Travel + Leisure in September, “If Australia were a person, it would be my dad.” The next season of Dancing with the Stars is scheduled to premiere later in 2026.
