Robert Pattinson told GQ in an interview published Jan. 23 that he “wasn’t the biggest fan of kids” before becoming a father, but called fatherhood “the most fun thing.” He and longtime partner Suki Waterhouse welcomed their first child in March 2024, the actor said.

Pattinson said of his earlier view, “I didn’t mind them. I would tolerate them,” but added, “I think it’s absolutely wonderful” now that he is a dad.

Discussing the practical side of parenting, he said the transition has made time management central to his life. “Even if you’re on the other side of the planet, you’re like, ‘Okay, I cannot spend more than 10 days away,’” Pattinson told GQ, adding that after about 10 days away “it’s physical pain” and that “your body chemistry changes without you even thinking about it.”

He also said the toddler has already seen “so many” of his and Waterhouse’s projects — including his sci‑fi film Mickey‑17 — though Pattinson joked he’s “not getting any respect” since his daughter doesn’t fully understand what she’s watching.

Pattinson has previously said that having a baby made him feel “very old and very young at the same time.” He has not shared many details publicly about his child.

What remains unclear is the child’s name and other family details: Pattinson has kept information about his daughter private and has made only rare comments about parenthood.
