Rogers has launched a new Discovery+ platform in Canada that will not automatically migrate existing accounts, forcing subscribers to rebuild profiles, payment information and settings ahead of Warner Bros. Discovery’s Feb. 17, 2026 shutdown of its version of the service, Collider reports.

According to Cord Cutter News and Discovery+’s customer support page, accounts and data — including payment information, profiles and watch history — will not transfer to the new Discovery+, so watchlists and favorite shows won’t be saved. That means long-time subscribers must manually recreate profiles, re-enter payment details and add shows back into queues if they want to keep following titles such as Sister Wives, Swamp People and Home Town; Collider says the transition replaces continuity with a manual reset that erases personal settings.

Collider notes the new app will still carry the same TV brands (Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Animal Planet, Discovery Turbo) and will be available on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung TV, Android TV, and on the web, mobile devices and tablets — but it will not be supported on several common devices, including Roku TVs, LG Smart TVs, Amazon Fire Tablets, Chromecast and Xbox.

The outlet frames the handoff to Rogers as part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s broader strategy favoring partnerships and licensing over operating every platform itself, pointing to WBD’s recent decisions to stream major HBO and Warner Bros.
