A Polygon explainer says Roxxon turns up in Wonder Man episode 4, "Doorman," when DeMarr Davis gains a doorlike power after touching strange goop from a Roxxon dumpster. The piece frames that appearance as another entry in the company’s long history in Marvel Comics and the MCU. Roxxon has appeared in Marvel Comics since 1974 as an exemplar of corporate greed, repeatedly thwarted by heroes like Spider-Man, Captain America, and the X‑Men.

Jason Aaron’s 2014 Thor: God of Thunder run made the company more nefarious, introducing CEO Dario Agger, who becomes a minotaur and pursues exploitation and resource stripping. The company has also been a recurring presence in the MCU. Polygon notes Roxxon showed up in 2013’s Iron Man 3 when Aldrich Killian used a Roxxon oil tanker to stage a supposed Mandarin attack, and Peggy Carter uncovered Roxxon experiments in Agent Carter season 1.

In Netflix’s Daredevil, Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson quit a law firm rather than help Roxxon retaliate against sickened employees. Roxxon was also central to the 2018 Cloak & Dagger series, where an explosion at a Roxxon facility infused Tandy and Tyrone with powers and the company served as the season’s primary antagonist.

In Wonder Man’s "Doorman," DeMarr becomes the Doorman, using a portal power to rescue Josh Gad and clubgoers from a fire.
