Ryan Hurst cast as Kratos for Amazon's live-action God of War series

Gamesradar reports Amazon has chosen Ryan Hurst to play Kratos in its upcoming live-action God of War series, which is being written by Ronald D. Moore.

Hurst, who previously appeared as this franchise's Thor in God of War: Ragnarok, posted on Instagram: “Used to play as him. Now I get to be him,” and added, “Grateful to pick up the axe, and honored by the fans who made this story legendary.” Christopher Judge, who played Kratos in the 2018 game, commented: "Congrats, Ryan!!!! You’re gonna be great… BOI !!!”

Currently, there’s no confirmed release date set for the series.
