The Guardian review by Sasha Muller says the Sage Oracle Jet is an assisted espresso machine that guides users from bean to cup, froths milk and heats in seconds using ThermoJet technology, but costs roughly £1,700 in 2026. The review describes a 5in colour touchscreen that walks users through every step and offers 14 preset drinks, from flat white to espresso martini.

It is not a fully automatic machine: you still brew the espresso and then steam the milk yourself, and the Jet uses a single ThermoJet heater so steaming follows brewing rather than happening concurrently as on a dual-boiler design. Muller notes several practical design details: a 340g bean hopper, double baskets that hold about 22g of coffee (requiring refills every ~15 coffees), a removable 2.3-litre water tank with a replaceable filter that lasts about three months, and a 12kg chassis with wheels.

Supplied accessories include a 58mm portafilter, stainless steel milk jug, knock box and a cleaning kit. On performance, the review says the Oracle Jet produces excellent espresso and very good milk microfoam, with automatic tamping, a built-in grinder offering 45 settings, eight adjustable froth levels and temperature control from 40C–75C.

In the reviewer’s tests it steamed 180ml of milk to 65C in a little over a minute; noise was measured at 46dB for brew and 58dB for steam.
