Sam Raimi names Jaws, The Grudge and The Others among favorite horror films

Gamesradar reports Sam Raimi, the director of Evil Dead, said his favorite horror films include Steven Spielberg's Jaws and Takashi Shimizu's The Grudge.

During a Reddit AMA promoting his new film Send Help, Raimi listed "Robert Wise's The Haunting, Steven Spielberg's Jaws, Takashi Shimizu's The Grudge, and Alejandro Amenábar's The Others" among his favorites. The piece notes Raimi is responsible for some of the goriest, messiest, stickiest cinematic experiences in horror movie history. Send Help follows Rachel McAdams as a worn-down staff member stranded on a desert island with her no-good boss, played by Dylan O’Brien, as their survival instincts lead them to fight to get back to civilization.

Send Help will be hitting theaters on January 30.
