Sam Raimi’s Send Help expected on Hulu/Disney+ around May 1
Sam Raimi’s horror film Send Help premiered Jan. 30, 2026, and MovieWeb reports it will stream exclusively on Hulu on the Disney+ platform once its theatrical run ends. The film has earned strong notices, holding a 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes with praise for Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien; it follows an employee and her boss whose plane crashes en route to Bangkok, leaving them stranded on a deserted island while they try to survive despite hating each other.
Send Help was made by Raimi Productions and is being distributed globally by 20th Century Studios. MovieWeb notes that since Disney’s 2019 acquisition of 21st Century Fox, Disney controls where 20th Century releases land, and adult-leaning or gory titles are typically routed to Hulu within the Disney+ ecosystem.
By MovieWeb’s read of past windows, 20th Century Studios films generally reach subscription VOD about three months after their theatrical premieres. Citing examples such as Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere and The Amateur, MovieWeb says Send Help is expected to arrive on Hulu on Disney+ between Apr.
30 and May 2, most likely May 1, since new SVOD releases often appear on Fridays. MovieWeb also outlines the PVOD pattern: Disney tends to put blockbusters on premium video on demand about seven to nine weeks after release. Using the same pattern and recent examples, Send Help is expected to be available to buy or rent digitally around Mar.
