Pagesix reports Sara Foster said she once went on a "depressing" date with George Clooney after being set up by her friend Cindy Crawford and Crawford’s husband, Rande Gerber.

Foster, 44, told her sister Erin Foster on an episode of their "The World’s First Podcast," "I got set up with George Clooney, like, 30 years ago. It was such a blah. Sorry, had to say it," and added, "It was just such a hard no." She said, "I remember thinking, 'Oh, he is so old,'" recalled the four of them sitting together and that she was "so sad" over a breakup at the time, calling the situation "depressing" and saying he "just feels like a grandpa." She said she felt "offended" that Crawford and Gerber tried to set her up with someone so much older and added, "I’ve never understood a 19-year-old that’s into a 40-year-old."

Foster also said she thinks Clooney "wasn't that into it," recounting "I started crying about my ex to him. So I think he was like, 'This chick's not okay,'" which she called a quip. A representative for Clooney did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Foster later settled with tennis player Tommy Haas, with whom she shares two daughters, Valentina, 14, and Josephine, 9; the couple split after nearly 20 years in August 2024. Clooney tied the knot with his wife, Amal Clooney, in September 2014, and the couple are parents to 8-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander.
