Saudi clubs target Harry Kane after Bayern release-clause revelation
Harry Kane has emerged as a target for Saudi Pro League sides Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad after Kicker reported that his Bayern contract, which runs until 2027, contains a release clause set at a maximum of €70 million (£61m/$83m). The clause is said to expire at the end of February, and Kane must inform Bayern that he wants to leave before it can be activated; Bayern, meanwhile, want him to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena.
Kane has continued his prolific form for Bayern this season, with 24 goals in 21 Bundesliga games and 45 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions, plus nine assists. Premier League clubs are said to have made contact with his representatives and Saudi sides are monitoring developments.
He has moved his family to Germany, but it remains unclear whether he would be prepared to move to the Middle East.
