Authorities in Arizona launched an urgent search on Monday, Feb. 2, after Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing from her Catalina Foothills residence; she was last seen on Saturday, Jan. 31, at around 9:30 p.m., the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said. The PCSD described Nancy Guthrie as a female with brown hair and blue eyes, 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 150 pounds.

It is currently unknown what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance. At a press conference on Sunday, Sheriff Chris Nanos said the search-and-rescue mission is underway amid concerning scenes at Guthrie’s home and that she is considered "not in good physical health." Authorities are using airplanes, drones and helicopters in the effort, the department said.

The possibility of foul play has not been ruled out, and homicide detectives are reportedly involved in the investigation. A spokesperson for Today confirmed to PEOPLE that this is a missing persons case, said the family is working closely with local law enforcement and asked anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900.

The spokesperson said the family is grateful for the outreach, thoughts and prayers. Savannah Guthrie has not spoken publicly about her mother’s disappearance.
