Screen Actors Guild 2026 Actor Awards nominations led by 'One Battle After Another' and 'Sinners'
The Screen Actors Guild announced nominations for its 2026 Actor Awards on Wednesday morning, with the films One Battle After Another and Sinners topping the list.
One Battle After Another received expected recognition for leads Leonardo DiCaprio and Chase Infiniti and supporting actors Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro, while Sinners earned a lead nomination for Michael B. Jordan plus supporting nods for Wunmi Mosaku and newcomer Miles Caton. Timothée Chalamet was nominated for Marty Supreme, and Ariana Grande received a supporting nomination for Wicked: For Good; Cynthia Erivo did not score a nomination. Other notable absences included George Clooney and Adam Sandler for Jay Kelly, Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt for The Smashing Machine, the Norwegian film Sentimental Value (starring Renate Reinsve, Stellan Skarsgard and Elle Fanning), and Brazilian actor Wagner Moura.
The Times noted that the trophy was renamed this past year and that the Screen Actors Guild often favors English-language performances. Historically, SAG nominees often closely mirror eventual Oscar nominees, though last year no category matched all five Oscar picks exactly, and the eventual Oscar winner is almost always first nominated by the guild.
The Actor Awards will be handed out on March 1, live on Netflix. The Times published the complete list of nominees alongside the announcement.
