Seven Star Wars characters who could cameo in The Mandalorian and Grogu
Movieweb reports that seven Star Wars characters could still appear in the upcoming film The Mandalorian and Grogu, described as a feature-length episode of the Disney+ series that is due May 22, 2026. The outlet notes the film is set a few years after the original trilogy and that its era leaves room for many franchise icons to turn up.
Besides the movie's two title characters, Steven Blum's Zeb Orrelios is the only other confirmed returning figure; Blum voiced Zeb in every season of Star Wars: Rebels and the character made a live-action debut in The Mandalorian Season 2, though it is unclear how large his role in the film will be.
Movieweb lists possible cameo candidates as Obi‑Wan Kenobi (including the possibility of a Force Ghost but uncertainty over who would portray him), Luke Skywalker (whose recent return used advanced filmmaking techniques), Boba Fett (alive after The Book of Boba Fett), Han Solo and Chewbacca (alive in the film's era, with questions about casting), Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson, though her story could be contained in Ahsoka Season 2), Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen appeared as a Force Ghost in Ahsoka), and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher cannot reprise the role, though younger portrayals have been used).
