Nbc reported that Olympic gold medalist Shaun White took advantage of a major winter storm, snowboarding in Manhattan's Central Park on Sunday, January 25, after nearly a foot of snow fell.

Video shows the 39-year-old initially riding under a mask and goggles before performing 360s and front flips, effectively turning parts of the park into a makeshift snowboard area. The impromptu demonstration drew a crowd whose reactions grew louder with each trick; one person shouted, "That's gotta be Shaun White!" and another could be heard saying, "Are you f—ing kidding me?"

White, who retired from competitive snowboarding in 2022, will join the broadcast booth for the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony and serve as an analyst during the Games. "I'm so excited to be part of the Opening Ceremony for the Milan Cortina Olympics," he said in a statement. "The Olympics have been such a huge part of my life, and to return in this new role — celebrating the athletes, the energy, and the incredible backdrop of Italy — is truly an honor. I know what that moment means when the world is watching, and I can't wait to help bring that magic to everyone at home." Live coverage of the Opening Ceremony begins on Friday, February 6 at 2 p.m. ET, with primetime coverage at 8 p.m. ET.
